Case Study

The WInner

Since 1988, The Winner is a popular women’s fashion store unlike anything in the region. The company needed to update its online presence, as well as attract more potential customers from neighboring cities.

Refreshing a Downtown Sharon Icon

The Winner began working with Brandspire in early 2020 to help revamp their digital/traditional marketing with the goal of refreshing the brand and reaching potential customers beyond the region.

We developed an extensive WordPress-powered website showcasing over 1,500 dresses and other products that provides a clean, user-friendly experience. The website also utilizes ecommerce capabilities, connecting with the physical store inventory.

In a time when consumers are shopping online more than ever, The Winner needed to restructure their website and digital presence. The main challenge was to update their online presence to draw people into the store for the unique shopping experience and gradually introduce online shopping.

Through a new website, Brandspire crafted new user journeys for The Winner’s audience. Both new and existing website visitors increased drastically. Page views and time on website also increased significantly, and bounce rate decreased by approximately 32% during the first three months after launch.

The new website has helped to generate extremely positive results, even during the COVID-19 pandemic which disrupted the entire industry. New features, such as an online bridal consultation request form, helped to increase leads significantly. The website is also gaining high rankings on search engines.

Before & After

The Winner’s existing website was looking dated, hard to maintain, and ranked very poorly on Google. We developed a new website showcasing 1,000’s of wedding dresses and other items with e-commerce capabilities.

The Work

The Winner experienced many results almost immediately. Customers started to use online appointment forms organically, without any advertising of the new features. SEO was exceptionally weak before the new website launched. The new website helped gain rankings in nearby cities for targeted keywords drastically and continues to improve to date.

Substantial increase in website traffic since launch

The Winner experienced a drastic increase in both new and repeating visitors to the website, approximately a 52% increase after the first three months after launching.

Online appointments have surged every month

The new website introduced an online bridal appointment form. Previously, it was only possible to make appointments by phone and the new system is now surpassing calls.

SEO strategy helped gain first page results in major cities

The Winner went from having no ranking in nearby cities such as Cleveland, to ranking first for keywords including “Prom Dresses Cleveland”.

Print advertising helped increase awareness

We developed a branding style guide and updated all existing marketing materials with a sleek, modern look to compliment the new website.
